Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to use this website — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, or reduced-motion settings. We aim for WCAG 2.2 AA.

What we've built in

Keyboard navigation and visible focus states across the site, semantic HTML structure, alternative text on meaningful images, colour contrast checked against AA, readable font sizes, and forms with labelled fields.

Motion is used purposefully: the site respects your device's reduced-motion setting, smooth scrolling is disabled for reduced-motion users, and the video section has a visible pause control.

Known limitations

The cinematic video does not yet carry captions — it is atmospheric footage with no spoken content, and the message on screen is also available as text. Some documentary photographs are decorative and are marked as such for screen readers.

This is a new website. If something doesn't work for you, that's a bug we want to fix — not a limitation you should accept.

If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS), which advises on the Equality Act 2010.
